You are right, of course; but for some reason this continues to be news in many quarters of popular culture, which makes Fr. Barron's reply to the "first heresy" as timely as Michael Polanyi's refutation of positivism in his book, Personal Knowledge in 1958, even if Fr. Barron's is a mere thumbnail sketch of a reply.

I'm know this is nit-picky, but isn't the first heresy that Fr. Barron is describing already known as Positivism?
