Whatever may be negotiated regarding past post-V2 "doctrinal pronouncements," nothing can be said regarding future pronouncements. The Church groans under the yoke of the nouvelles -- they will be the ones making such pronouncements -- and that is not going to change, whether the SSPX is on the bus, or not.

Muller seems both quite sharp in some respects, and at the same time quite clueless about the bona fides of the issues at stake. While it may be the print format in question, his faux 'I'm the Prefect' bravado is off-putting.

JM,

I agree. His constant reiteration of the refrain about serving the Holy Father, the successor of Peter, the head of the Holy Catholic Church, blah, blah, blah, also seems disingenuous, like he's trying to pull something over on the pew-sitting dullards.

Yes, in fact he is a very smart guy, and yes I think he may indeed be trying to pull something over on the faithful. But then, I'm just a Cynic. What do I know?
