I know it is conventional "wisdom" that Romney was wise to let The Kenyan skate during the final debate rather than confront him about his Benghazi lies.
That being the case, who'n'hell wants to vote for the Mormon given that he so willingly surrenders to the "conventional wisdom" that is aught but the putatively puissant liberalism of the establishment which is completely severed from historical America?
Obama is given free reign by the media to continue to kill America and Romney consents to this sick and twisted standard and virtually everyone in the Republican establishment falls all over themselves rushing to be the most dogmatic in declaiming Romney's genius.
I wish Romney had memorised the Benghazi timeline and all of Barry's lies and confronted the bastid with it and every time, every singe time, Obama tried to speak about some other topic, Romney would remind everyone that the subject for the debate was Foreign Policy and the POTUS was lying about Benghazi and so how could Americans trust him about anything he said to say about Foreign Policy.
Romney's surrender to the faux pieties of the establishment was a monumental failure of nerve; the guy is a feckless fool.
We'll see how his "wisdom" plays out. One has to remember that these "debates" (I use the term loosely) are about much more than scoring points or even about truth. They're about "spin," which is what politics in America has been reduced to these days.
If my hunch is right, Romney came off as more "likeable" than Obama, who looked like a petulant underdog snapping at the limbs of his opponent.
Romney clearly is uncomfortable with being pugnacious himself. Too bad, maybe. But in terms of spin, you never know.
