Ozorak Chant Sheets Featured on Livestream Mass
Among the most popular livestreamed Traditional Masses on Sundays are those from St. John Cantius Church in Chicago. Prominently featured on the May 17 1:30 PM (Eastern time) High Mass were Michel Ozorak’s celebrant chant sheets. As a reminder to any priest or deacon readers of this column, Michel’s chant sheets are available at www.windsorlatinmass.org. If you need chant sheets for a feast that is not listed on the web site, e-mail info@windsorlatinmass.org, and we will either forward them to you or ask Michel to create them.
Windsor Family of Parishes Activation Delayed
The integration of the St. Benedict Tridentine Community into the central Windsor Family of Parishes has been delayed till September or October because of the pandemic. For the time being St. Benedict remains a standalone entity.
Priest Training During the Lockdown
The lockdown turned out to be a blessing in disguise for two priests who decided to take advantage of the downtime to take Extraordinary Faith’s training program to learn to celebrate the Tridentine Mass.
Fr. Leo McDowell, pastor of St. Mary Parish in Livingston, Montana, celebrated his first Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form on Tuesday, March 24. Fr. Leo intends to commence monthly Low Masses when public Masses fully resume. Several of his altar servers attended the first Mass and intend to learn how to serve the Traditional Mass.
Fr. Michael McCormick, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, celebrated his first Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form on Thursday, April 23. Fr. McCormick has since gained further experience offering the TLM privately, so that he can add it to his parish’s offerings once public Masses are fully permitted. He already offers the Ordinary Form ad oriéntem. The first altar servers have already expressed interest in helping out, as news of a new TLM tends to spread fast.
