- It's the Feast of the Exultation of the Cross.
- It's my birthday, as well as that of Robert Cecil, 1st Viscount Cecil of Chelwood.
- It's the anniversary of the date of the implementation of Summorum Pontificum established by His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI in 2007.
- It is the date of a meeting to which SSPX leadership has been summoned by Rome next month.
It is generally understood that this meeting will attend to the canonical situation of the Society. Pope Benedict XVI lifted the Decree of Excommunication of 1988 on January 21, 2009, leaving the canonical status of the Society unanswered. The September 14th meeting between Cardinal Levada, Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, Msgr. Fellay, General Superior of the Fraternity of the Society of St. Pius X and his two assistants Fr. Niklaus Pfluger and Fr. Alain-Marc Nély, will consider the outcome of two years of doctrinal talks between representatives of the Holy See and the Priestly Fraternity. All Catholics are requested to pray for the intentions of the Holy Father and the good of the Church.

Ferrara's clarion call here is a refreshing change from the clear-as-mud pronouncements we here day in and day out.
Were it not for Our Holy Father this reconciliation would never have happened and it still might not happen because the Jews hate the SSPX because it embodies Tradition. and, for the past one-half century, Holy Mother Church has been on a fool's mission of trying to court their friendship so as to heal the world or some such "I'd like to teach the word to sing"' Coca Cola thing.
The Barque of Peter is the Ark of Salvation and it must be, before anything else. about the business of saving souls.
Everything else is secondary.
The SSPX teaches nothing that has not always been taught and it offers the Immemorial Mass and what they do and why they do it is anathema to The Jews.
What I am writing is the plain and simple truth. It not an expression of irrational fear and neither is it antisemitism.
For fear of the Jews, Holy Mother Church will not Canonise the great Pope Pius XII, and I fear that Fear of the Jews will remain a monumental obstacle to full reconciliation.
Make no mistake about it, if The SSPX is regularised, the media, controlled by the Jews will unleash a torrent of abuse about Ratzinger-was-a-Nazi this and the Pope has resurrected The Teaching of contempt that.
The Pope is under tremendous pressure. Pray for him
