Detroit's Capuchin friar, Fr. Solanus Casey (1870-1957), was beatified on Saturday, November 18th, at Ford Field, the home of the Detroit Lions. There were reportedly upwards of 70,000 people there. I'm sure some wondered whether a football game they hadn't heard about was in progress! What a fantastic event!
