Springfield Bishop Paprocki seems to be a “hard identity” Catholic. We need “hard identity” Catholicism, as Fr. Z says. "That doesn’t mean being mean. That means being clear. “Hard identity” Catholicism doesn’t reject compassion or diplomacy or joy.
