Jihad watch update: ascendant concerns

  • Mordechai Kedar and David Yerushalmi, "Shari'a and Violence in American Mosques," Middle East Quarterly (Summer 2011), pp. 59-72:
How great is the danger of extremist violence in the name of Islam in the United States? Recent congressional hearings into this question by Rep. Peter King (Republican of New York), chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, have generated a firestorm of controversy among his colleagues, the press, and the general public. Though similar hearings have taken place at least fourteen times since 2001.... To what extent are American Muslims, native-born as well as naturalized, being radicalized by Islamists? And what steps can those who are sworn to the protection of American citizenry take that will uncover and disrupt the plots of those willing to take up arms against others for the sake of jihad? • "About Muslims and Islam" (What makes Islam so different?):
"Don't judge the Muslims that you know by Islam and don't judge Islam by the Muslims that you know."

Since we hear from so many critics who either don't take the time to read this site, or simply can't understand the distinction between Islam and Muslims, we thought it best to bring together in one place what we have said in so many others over the years.

Islam is an ideology - a set of ideas. It is not defined by what any Muslim wants it to be, but by what it is. No ideology is above critique - particularly one that explicitly seeks political and social dominance over every person on the planet. Neither is it entitled to human rights, which apply to individuals.

Muslims are individuals. We passionately believe that no Muslim should be harmed, harassed, stereotyped or treated any differently anywhere in the world solely on account of their status as a Muslim.

As an ideology, Islam is not necessarily entitled to equal respect and acceptance. Ideas do not carry equal moral weight. The feelings or number of those who believe does not make the idea true or good. Bad ideas can and should be challenged before they produce bad consequences.
  • Peter McLoughlin, Easy Meat: Inside Britain's Grooming Gang Scandal (New English Review Press, 2016):
Peter McLoughlin spent years believing the Leftist narrative, namely it was 'a racist myth' that organised Muslim groups in Britain and the Netherlands ( grooming gangs ) were luring white schoolgirls into a life of prostitution. But in 2009 he first encountered people who said their children had been groomed like this. These informants had non-white people in their immediate and extended family, and were thus unlikely to be racists. So McLoughlin dug deeper and what he found shocked him: there were mounds of evidence that social workers, police officers, Muslim organisations, journalists and even some Members of Parliament must have known about these grooming gangs for decades, and they had turned a blind-eye to these crimes. He also came across references to incidents where any proof had since vanished. McLoughlin spent several years uncovering everything he could and documenting this scandal before the evidence disappeared. He demonstrates that the true nature of this grooming phenomenon was known about more than 20 years ago.

As I sit here this morning lustful journalists are drooling out reports of more cops being killed, this time in Baton Rouge. How much do you want to bet that when the details come out, the assassin will be (a) black, (b) muslim, or (c) both?

I have two black boys sitting in this room with me watching a bonehead Transformers movie. They should not be punished for the sins of black assassins who kill cops. Even though they make ignoramus teenage boy remarks about the hood giving back to cops what cops give them. Recognition of innocence is Christianity 101.

That said, however, we are reaching a point in this country where sanity has to be restored. Illegals have to be thrown out. Period. Build the damn wall and, more importantly, repel those who try to climb it or tunnel under it with whatever force is necessary to change their minds.

Blacks who commit crimes have to be incarcerated and to hell with their leaders' bellyaching about slavery and genocide. Blacks who resist lawful detention have to be treated accordingly. Leaders who incite them to break the law (in air quotes) need to be treated even more accordingly. Presidents who pussyfoot around such incitings should be roundly condemned, if not impeached.

Muslims have to kept out. Muslims who are already here legally have to accept that their activities will be monitored closely, and that they may be required to inform on other members of their families, or risk being placed under suspicion themselves. The spread of Islam in this country is a pestilence. Vaccination is long overdue.

It is only a matter of time before the Black Lives Matter crowd, the La Raza crowd (and the Mexican drug cartels who prod them along), and the Muslim Up With Sharia crowd in this country join hands with terrorists worldwide, including al Quaeda and ISIS. That is the future liberal activism and its faux Christian values offers us. Time for America, and for that matter, the Catholic Church in America, to man up.

Imaginary cases are an impediment to proclaiming the Catholic Faith clearly

We need to speak about the Catholic Faith, clearly. We need to clearly proclaim the Catholic Faith.Often traditionalists are an impediment to doing this.
Every one needs to enter the Church to go to Heaven and avoid Hell. Every one. We need to tell Fr. Anthony Cekada that there is no known case of a catechumen who desired the baptism of water, died before he received it, went to Heaven and someone knew about it.We can ony hope and speculate that it is possible. However this is an imaginary case for us.

We need to tell Bishop Donald Sanborn that every one in 2016 needs to be a card carrying member of the Church. SInce the person who dies in invincible ignorance( I.I), allegedly without the baptism of water, is an imaginary case in 2016.So the bishop can review his position on Vatican Council II and contact the local chancery and inform them about it.
Louie Verrecchio like Bishop Sanborn would say that they affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus but they cause confusion when UR 3 is an exception to Tradition for them.Let the liberal ecumenists interpret UR 3 as an exception to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS).Let them consider UR 3 as referring to a non imaginary case, someone concrete.Louie does not have to do the same.He simply says every one in 2016 can only be saved with faith and baptism in the Catholic Church.
Bishop Fellay must be corrected and shown his doctrinal error.
Similarly John Salza and Robert Siscoe could be asked to remove all this confusion over imaginary cases being relevant or exceptions to EENS in 2016.
The traditionalists have created so much confusion over these imaginary persons that now when I affirm EENS people mistake me for being a traditionalist or sedevacantist. It is not my fault if Bishop Sanborn, Fr. Cekada and Chris Ferrara do not understand that imaginary cases are not defacto known in 2016, as in the case of BOD(LG 14) and I.I (LG 16).

The Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the communities of Fr. Leonard Feeney at the St. Benedict Centers, Worcester, Manchester and Los Angeles, USA could also clarify that the baptism of desire is an imaginary case. These good traditionalists have already being saying that there is no baptism of desire. They need to state that LG 14 does not contradict itself i.e LG 14 ( unknown catechumen) does not contradict LG 14 ( all need faith and baptism). The Catholic Church is saying in Vatican Council II ( LG 14, AG 7) that the Church is necessary for salvation and all need faith and baptism for salvation; all need to enter and remain in it with faith and baptism to go to Heaven. This is being stated by Vatican Council II and not only the dogma EENS.
LG 14 and AG 7 for me says extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Outside the Church there is no salvation and the imaginary cases of BOD and I.I are simply that - imaginary...

So now we all can go back to the old theology by pointing out that BOD and I.I are always imaginary cases.Always.

All non Catholics are going to Hell.Source? Vatican Council II (AG 7, LG 14).Catholics are the new people of God, they are the new Chosen People( NA 4).They follow the Promised Jewish Messiah foretold by the Jewish prophets. They follow Him in the only Church he founded. There are only Catholics in Heaven. Outside the Church there is no salvation since outside the Church there is no known salvation.

All Protestants,Orthodox Christians, Pentecostals, Assembly of God Christians and Jehovah Witnesses are on the way to Hell.Source? Dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.( Cantate Domino, Council of Trent 1441 etc).
All Hindus, Buddhists, Jews,Muslims and Sikhs are lost forever unless they convert into the Catholic Church before they die.Source? Vatican Council II(AG 7, LG 14), Cantate Dominio, Council of Florence 1441 on outside the Church there is no salvation,John 3:5, Mark 16:16,Mathew 7:13-14) etc.-Lionel Andrades
