Concelebration with cameras? In persona Christi? Have they no shame?

I can remember a Lutheran bishop telling me how impressed he was when he was touring a European cathedral and was told not to take pictures because a Catholic Mass was underway. Isn't this a new low. Oh, but there's an excuse? They're only processing in and not yet celebrating Mass in one photo? And the Consecrated Host is not on the altar in the other? No sacrilege, then? Whew, what a relief!

  2. The anthropocentric Lil' Licit Liturgy has done its job admirably, no?

ABS actually heard this said by a Deacon last Sunday prior to the LLL; he said it to a man who was wearing sunglasses and leaning over the back of the pew in front of him and chatting loudly with the couple in front of him who were turned sideways in their pew loudly speaking with him:

Hey, don't you know you aren't supposed to be talking in Church and he chuckled and walked having clearly communicated we don't believe in that crap anymore but as soon as he said it, ABS LOUDLY said

    Good advice....

This is the sort of retarded dumbass behavior one sees in whatever Local Franchise of Dead Diocese America Inc one is constrained to assist at Mass in but everyone knows those clerics would not behave like that in their local library; they would not be talking loudly and taking selfies etc and so the Lil' Licit Liturgy must be "credited" for turning our Sacred Consecrated-to-the-worship-of-God Churches into a secular space where silence and solemnity is less expected and respected than they are at the the local library.

ABS used to walk over to the clowns talking in Church and say to them, Excuse me, is my silent praying preparing for Mass interrupting your talking? but the problem has only gotten worse and so, to hell with it.

The Lil' Licit Liturgy has won and there can be no doubt it is a Happy Meal for women and children to such an extent that now those who have received Holy Orders are acting like women and children with no sense of shame or embarrassment even though EVERY ONE OF THEM would have been bitched-slapped by their Fathers had they pulled that shit when they were young.

It didn't take long for the Lil' Licit Liturgy to destroy everything, did it?

Te question that requires answering is, was the destruction intended?

  3. ABS,

You're on a roll here, and I love it! Reminds me, too, of when I got so irate once at a church I was visiting, I got up and walked back to an offending gabber and whispered very loudly: "SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO PRAY!"

Sometimes you'd like a foghorn to jolt these people back to a sense of reality.

It's good that I get away, occasionally, from my own parish, where we have it so good. We're spoiled. And it's good to be reminded of just how awful most AmChurch parishes are in order to regain a sense of reality about where we are as Catholics in this country.
