"I was pleased to see that some Catholic journalists and internet bloggers behaved as good soldiers of Christ and drew attention to this clerical agenda of undermining the perennial teaching of Our Lord."[Hat tip to M.V. and L.S.]
- Bishop Athanasius Schneider, speaking on the October Synod of Bishops
"It was mainly by the faithful people that Paganism was overthrown ... the body of the Episcopate was unfaithful to its commission, while the body of the laity was faithful to its baptism ..."- Blessed John Henry Newman, addressing what transpired
during the Arian heresy of the 4th century
"Treachery like that of Nestorius is rare in the Church, but it may happen that some pastors keep silence for one reason or another in circumstances when religion itself is at stake. The true children of Holy Church at such times are those who walk by the light of their baptism, not the cowardly souls who, under the specious pretext of submission to the powers that be, delay their opposition to the enemy in the hope of receiving instructions which are neither necessary nor desirable."
- Abbot Guéranger, commenting on the Nestorian controversy
in the 5th century, in The Liturgical Year, IV, p. 380.
Soon-to-be-Canonised Pope Paul VI wrote that crummy speech delivered by Pope John 23rd that opened V2 and on that day that will live in Catholic Infamy - Dec 7, 1965 - he confessed to the world that we..have the cult of man.
ReplyDeleteGreat. Y'all can have it. M.J will stick with Tradition and defend the Faith against the wolves of the Prelature.
God is testing us (See St Vincent of Lerins on his commentary) and M.J. was flunking the test completely but the Holy Ghost got me a chance to retake the test and there will never be a time M.J. goes back on detention for the Catholic Church is every bit as much mine as it is the Prelature.
More so, actually, as M.J. believers all the Catholic Church has ever taught whereas outside of Schneider and Burke and a few others, there is reason to believe that vast numbers within the Prelature have made shipwrecks of their faith.

ReplyDeleteSo what shall the Catholic Christian do if some part of the Church should come to detach itself from the communion, from the Universal Faith? What other side could he take than to prefer to the gangrenous and corrupted member, the body which is whole and healthy? And if some new contagion should seek to poison, not only a little part of the Church, but the whole Church at once, then his greatest care should once again be to adhere to antiquity, which obviously cannot be seduced by any deceitful novelty....
The Lord your God does try you that He may know whether you love Him or not.”because the Lord your God does make trial of you, whether you love Him or not.” Deuteronomy 13:1
For it has always been the case in the Church, that the more a man is under the influence of religion, so much the more prompt is he to oppose innovations
Stay in the City of God and refuse to fall lockstep into the Procession of progressive Prelates into the City of Man for that is, ineluctably, the path to Perdition.
