Mark Noll leaving Wheaton for Notre Dame

Breaking news as of Feb. 9, 2006: the celebrated evangelical church historian, Mark Noll (pictured left), one of Wheaton College's most beloved professors, has accepted a position at the University of Notre Dame where he will replace the retiring -- and equally celebrated evangelical church historian -- George Marsden (pictured right) this fall.
