For the record: Randy Engel's open letter to Pope Francis on the Gay Lobby

Randy, Engel, "An open letter to Pope Francis: on a Papal Commission of Inquiry into Homosexuality, Pederasty, and La Lobby Gay in The Catholic Church" (Renew Amaerica, November 10, 2013). There are lessons that must be learned from the sex scandals that rocked the Church since the turn of the millenium. Nobody likes mucking around in these sewers, but there's no arguing they need to be flushed out.

  1. What a sledgehammer of an article!

Unfortunately, it is not written in Spanish, so that, our holy father could read it himself without being dis-serviced by his translators.

What does Mr. Engel specifically mean when he states that Pope Paul IV was "himself a casualty of the unnatural vice?"

STATEMENT: You do not appear overly concerned with the world-wide metastasis of the Catholic deaconate, seminary, diocesan priesthood, religious life, and hierarchy by the moral malignancy of this grievous sin which Scripture tells us brought the wrath of God in the form of fire and brimstone down upon the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

RESPONSE: Who am I to judge?

    Loyolalaw98,
The answer to your question is found on pages 1151-1156 of "The Rite of Sodomy: Homosexuality and the Roman Catholic Church," by Randy Engel.
