September 4th: Empty Chair Day

"Clint Eastwood’s short dialogue with the President Barak Hussein Obama, who was not 'there', could have been written by Jean Paul Sartre, but more likely by Saul Alinsky. With perfect irony, Mr. Eastwood choose to use the methods of Saul Alinsky, Barak Obama’s hero, to affect the Republican campaign in 2012. Mr. Eastwood crafted a dialog directly from Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals-- pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. The dialog was irreverent, imaginative, and humorous. As Alinsky stated, 'the most potent weapons known to mankind are satire and ridicule'. Mr. Eastwood used these weapons as skillfully as Dirty Harry used his. Yes, he is a fine actor."
